Frequently asked questions

Is this the official Armstrong & Getty app?

No. This is an unofficial, fan-built companion app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Armstrong & Getty, iHeartMedia, or their affiliates. All show content and audio belong to their respective owners. For the show itself — stations, live streams, contact — visit armstrongandgetty.com.

Is the app free?

Yes. Free, no ads, no in-app purchases.

Why is the show one big daily episode instead of separate hours?

The app assembles all of the day's broadcast segments into a single episode per show day, in broadcast order, so you can listen straight through — and the segment-skip control lets you hop between hours when you want to.

Can I listen offline?

Yes. Tap Download Episode on any day and the full show is saved to your device. Downloads play with no connection at all, and the trash icon removes them when you're done.

How does Chromecast work?

Tap the Cast icon in the top-right corner and pick a speaker or TV on your Wi-Fi network. The Cast device streams the episode directly from the internet, and your phone stays the remote — you can even leave the room. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. If no devices show up, check that your phone isn't on a guest network or a VPN.

Playback stops when my screen locks — what gives?

It shouldn't: the app plays in the background with full lock-screen controls. If playback is being killed on Android, check that battery optimization isn't restricting the app (Settings → Battery), then email me if it keeps happening.

Do I need an account?

No. There's nothing to sign up for — install the app and listen. See the privacy policy for the full story on data.

When will the app be on the App Store / Google Play?

It's on the App Store now. The Android build is still in review — the Google Play badge on the home page goes live the moment it ships.
